After 2.5 years of operation, it has been decided to increase the UPC’s procedural fees by more than 30%.
The principles and rules governing these fees remain unchanged: a fixed portion based on the nature of the case and a variable portion based on the value of the dispute.
The UPC justifies these fee increases by citing persistent inflation since the fees were set in 2016 and the underestimation of the workload required in certain proceedings.
The new schedule of procedural fees applies to actions and requests filed on or after January 1, 2026, including for ongoing proceedings.
