The PASS PI program of the INPI (French National Institute of Industrial Property) aims to help companies assess and strengthen the protection of their intangible assets. This program is designed for French SMEs and mid-cap companies, providing an in-depth assessment of their intellectual property assets, including patents, trademarks, designs, models, and copyrights. The goal is to optimise the economic value of these assets by proposing tailored protection and exploitation strategies.
During this assessment, an intellectual property attorney (CPI) conducts an on-site audit and identifies the strengths and vulnerabilities of the company’s intangible asset management. The PASS IP also includes practical recommendations and an action plan to improve the protection of these assets. The program is subsidised by the INPI, making it more affordable for companies wishing to develop and secure their intellectual property in a strategic and effective manner.
