The commercial court is a court specialising in commercial disputes. In intellectual property matters, it may have jurisdiction to rule on certain disputes relating to the commercial exploitation of rights, particularly where these concern trademarks, trade names, signs, or patents in a commercial context, or where the parties are traders.

In practice, the commercial court is a tool for resolving intellectual property disputes related to commercial exploitation, enabling the protection of holders’ rights in an economic context.

The commercial court may order precautionary measures, seizures of counterfeit goods, prohibitions on use, and assess damages related to the infringement of IP rights.
